September through October 20X1 - Welcome, Class of 20X4!
The new school year at Liberta Duel Academy is here! Students - new and returning - are adjusting to their school life and getting themselves settled in. The entrance ceremony presented the principal's address, spoke of Dorm Rankings, and introduced the Student Council. Alongside the standard Master Duels, the experimental "Specialty Duels" were announced to those new to the academy. So unpack; duel a fellow or two; explore the academy and the city of Silvershine! Action; adventure; slice of life; it's up to you! How will you have yours unfold?
A fairly-average build male with red hair and hazel eyes, Mason tends to wear formal attire when not wearing his white school uniform. He wears a lot of black typically, but changes to a white tuxedo for special occasions. He takes off the black blazer at night, so others can see his white shirt (especially traffic).
PERSONALITY
Likes - Gentlemanly or chivalrous behavior - The smell of flowers - Toast with butter
He could be described as a gentleman, as he flings himself into situations where someone is being beaten, physically or verbally, and he has a tendency to take the abuse instead of the original victim. Even with such foolish behavior, he respects others and rarely cares about his own wellbeing. Even so, he sometimes finds it hard to keep his cool. He tries his best not to lash out, under any circumstances.
HISTORY
Mason was raised by a somewhat wealthy family, but none before him would dare step in for others. They tried to teach him that he was more valuable than others, and yet he felt the urge to help others. Never caring for his image, he was somewhat of an outcast in his family. They made fun of him for eating "commoner's food" such as toast with butter, and if they made it for him, they would toast it twice or more to char it, and blame it on him or the toaster. He was sent to boarding schools more than once, and he'd often get expelled for stepping in when others were being abused or verbally put down.
He didn't have a particular interest in dueling until he was given the opportunity to win someone's cards back. He used a deck he had barely used, and managed to emerge victorious, returning the cards to their owner.
His parents thought they were forcing him to enroll at Liberta. He, on the other hand, was glad to be away from them, more than happy to never answer his dorm room phone for just anyone. He enrolled, and never looked back, planning to leave his family behind.
