With a heavy sigh, the locker would be flung open as the blonde woman stretched out, that final school bell had rang throughout the halls, with the students in the school swarming out leaving the halls rather empty, a few stragglers who needed to get their stuff or talk to their teachers. Hikari Ayami was one of these students, she had gym during her last period. She wasn't wearing her uniform instead wearing a leotard, something more fitting for gym class. Despite what you'd think Hikari took her classes seriously, while most rich kids hated the idea of getting all sweaty, Hikari didn't mind it. I mean who didn't love pelting nerds in the face with a dodgeball and not getting in trouble for it?
"Emptiness flies you out of nowhere, Emptiness shows me to live out this, Free the fire that's burning out of me..."
As she rummaged through her locker any onlookers would likely hear some music leaking from her phone, as she dug through her locker for her headphones, the song was upbeat, a little bit metal with some pop elements. Under the impression she was alone currently, she was humming to the song rather loudly. She stuffed her backpack into the locker, resting her phone inside causing a slight echo to her music. The woman was putting away some things she didn't need whilst pulling out a change of clothes, she slung her usual dress over her shoulder.
The sound would no longer be heard from the locker as she had slid in a headphone, fancy stuff, they were wireless and looked brand new. The same could be said with Hikari's phone, a very expensive smartphone. Seemingly the song was finished as she began singing another song to herself, though with how quiet the song was it wouldn't be hard for her to hear. "Shout...Shout...Let it all out... these are the things I can do without..." Honestly Hikari didn't have a bad voice at all.

"Hmm. Not a bad voice."
It had been a long school day. Stella was nothing short of tired. She had been one of the unfortunate who had ended the day on a gym class. She was hardly far from an unathletic person. After all, she dreamed of one day standing on a vast stage, so the basic capability to be active for so long was a necessity for her. Even so, it was arguably an exhausting day. After all, she had been spending the last few minutes running on the track, all the while occasionally dodging the stray ball that flew into her path.
So it was needless to say that she was definitely not expecting to hear someone singing a cappella in the middle of the locker room while she was stretching and changing.
Well, I guess it is the kind of place you can lose yourself in that kind of thing.
As she finished up changing into uniform, she grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder. She walked over to the area she had heard the singing coming from. In the process, she almost found herself humming along with the tune that she had been hearing. Her voice, too, would be audible to those who were close.
In view would be the rather short woman with long blonde hair, slinging her backpack over her shoulder her eyes were shut as she was humming and singing along to the song. She had switched into her blue uniform, though as she walked forward her eyes would open, spotting the woman who had just approached. She would raise an eyebrow, and remove one of her earbuds from her ear.
"Uh Hi?" The woman seemed a little confused, she couldn't say she was exactly used to having people she didn't know approach her like this. Usually, it was her posse, who approached. "Was I too loud? I thought it was just me." Despite being quite the bully, it seems Hikari wasn't being full-on mean today. "Well, didn't know you were here. Sorry, my beautiful voice attracted you." Though there she went, stroking her ego, when her voice was really just good. She pulled out her phone, now if Stella looked closely she'd see it was almost brand new looking, she would send a view text, waiting to see what Stella wanted to say.

Unsurprisingly, the person she had found was sporting a uniform similar to her own--a blonde who was the same age as her. Admittedly, Stella was not too familiar with her. The striking hairstyle and personality would have been something she would have easily recognized if she did know her.
"Nah, you weren't too loud." Stella smiled and waved her hand as if she were brushing away the concerns the girl before her had levied. It was hardly like she was bothered by someone who had the urge to sing their heart out.
"If anything, it was quite soothing on the ears hearing another singing voice." Quality be damned, she would not put someone else down when they sang their own song.
Stella then quickly saluted with a smile before extending her hand out. "But where are my manners? The name's Stella."
Well, hey, regardless of what Stella said, Hikari would fix her hair, and look towards Stella. After a bit, she spoke in response. "Well hey, My voice is so great how could it be so loud~" She flicked her hair, super full of herself.
"Another? You're a singer?" She spoke rather quickly, curious, Hikari liked a little bit of everything, though she didn't know Stella made music, she would just listen to what shuffled.
"Hikari Ayami~ I'm sure you already know who I am~" Soon, Hikari would take Stella's hand and shake it. "Music I like the older stuff, but that's not to say I don't listen to the new stuff every so often.""

She was a proud one for sure. That belief in her own singing voice was something to behold after all. Stella only had that after the test of the grander audience of both the internet and the streets. Well, it was not like she was wrong. With a little bit of practice and refinement, it would probably end up a hit too.
On the other hand, Stella was surprised the girl called Hikari had caught onto her slip-up. She had mainly used the word 'another' because she, too, tended to find herself or singing lyrics a capella from time to time but it was not something she had expected someone else to latch onto.
"Yeah, I dabble a bit with music." Stella chuckled as she scratched at her head with her free hand. "I've even released a few singles and perform live from time to time."
"But it's nice to meet you, Hikari." Truth be told, though the girl was quite the proud one, she had never heard of her. Not that she found it in her heart to ever admit to that statement out loud.
"Well, the school day is over, but I don't have much to do tonight. No plans for performances and homework is something I can get done pretty quick," she said out loud. She was far from the top of the class, but she was at least very strong academics wise. Most homework was stuff she could barrel through very quickly without much issue. Add on that she had no performances or streams scheduled today and that meant she had quite a bit of free time. "Wanna hang out, Hikari?"
She had just met the girl, but there was no harm in being on a first-name basis. After all, that was the way she tended to do things.
Hikari turned to her locker, using the mirror inside to fix her hair and apply a little bit of makeup, as Stella spoke, the blonde woman would text away, multitasking as she listened, applied makeup, and texted all at once. "Sounds like you do more than dabble. That's some professional-level stuff..." Pulling out her usual dress Hikari started changing, right here in the open... seems she didn't mind.
The rich girl now stood in her usual attire, a long blue dress. Though she would put up a finger after the nice to meet you. "One sec..." She would answer a phone call.
"What?" She spoke bluntly on the phone, seemingly a bit annoyed. "Just call him a fucking loser, or lead him on, then crush his dreams. Don't call me for stupid stuff like that." Soon hanging up the phone and placed it back in her locker.
"Sorry. That was a new girl. She wanted to know how to deal with that purple-haired boy. He hit on her. So she wanted to know how to respond." She avoided saying names, but it might be a bit more obvious to Stella.
"Hang out...?" She paused, while usually, she would outright decline, she was so busy after all... Stella was a singer, and one that seemed to have a following, releasing a single and all. So maybe she could take advantage of the situation.
"Well, that sounds nice. Coffee? I could totally recruit you to my little posse~" Hikari essentially had goons, lower people than her on the totem pole she'd boss around, so she didn't get in trouble.

First encounters could be innocuous enough. What Stella had expected to become an entirely innocuous encounter and a possible new friendship in that one moment had turned in a direction she had not expected. She was the type who believed that those who could express themselves through song and those who could appreciate song would have some sort of softness in their hearts. Suffice to say, the next few things she had heard after her offer did not immediately sit well with her or the idea she had cultivated.
Hikari seemed pretty open about her proclivities and personality. Were Stella the tactless type she would have found herself cringing visibly at what she had heard. But that was not the time for that.
"My, that advice does seem quite overkill."
That was the most she could say for now without drawing too much ire yet. Stella had a good feeling she knew who Hikari was talking about.
She wanted to probe this person far more. Someone who directly contradicted her own personal philosophy like this was a rarity she was not sure how to deal with. She couldn't let herself make this girl an enemy of her just yet. There was a time to fight back and not have someone mess with her friend, but the damage was done. She needed to figure out how to mitigate it from this point forward.
"Coffee or tea. I'm down for a drink, though I'm more of a hot cocoa person." She did not speak to the part about being recruited to a posse. That was something she could ease into piecing together as she figured out the enigma of a girl before her.
Hikari did her best to make a good impression, but it was just so hard when people called her for nonsense like that! She hated having to babysit, in that regard, she already liked Stella. She at least seemed capable, not someone who'd have to constantly ask Hikari for advice. The woman folded her arms and listened to that.
"Bleh, she knew I my rules, she calls me all the time. Like she can't even act like a big girl and make her own decisions. I can't help that losers find her pretty..." She sighed. "Don't worry. I don't act like that everyone in my little posse." She smiled
"I know a really good coffee joint. It's downtown, it's called Lux Brew!" If Stella knew of the shop, she would know it was expensive, like, really expensive. Regardless Hikari would start walking. "Don't worry they have Hot Cocoa! I'll buy" She said waving Stella on.
"So. The only rule of the posse. On Wednesday, we do not wear pink. At all. It's tacky" She explained. "Though you don't seem like the pink type" She pulled out her phone and handed it off to Stella, it was on the contact page, as if asking Stella to give her number.
