An early morning for a leisure ride to school. The breeze was chilled, but the sun was warm, a mix many enjoyed during the fall season. Shinsei strolled on his skateboard to school, preferring it over the bus system, and his mom having no time to drive him to school. The breeze blowing in his hair as he picked up speed and the world tuned out by the blasting of his music from his headphones made every ride to school an enjoyable one. Within those moments Shinsei had no care, none of his parents, of school, or the world, In pure bliss. But all good things come to an end sadly as reality always catches up. This time reality is ruined as school entered his sight with several of his peers just arriving.
Shinsei rode too close to comfort for many of his classmates, even elbow tapping many of them making them drop their belongings or just flat out being knocked over. Dirty looks all around would gaze upon him filled with ire. Whether it be apathy or a secret desire for attention Shinsei continued with his dysfunctional and disrespectful tradition every morning. Sooner or later the cosmic karma would hit Shinsei and hit him hard as he kept up with his antics. But his mind was constantly distracted by the disappointment of his own ability as each duel he had so far just did not go as he wanted. First, he almost lost against that worthless Masumi, then had an unresolved duel with the self-righteous Arasen, then lost against the clown Allen.
Shinsei made a sharp turn into the courtyard of the school as he approached the main entrance cutting off a couple of fellow students, shocking them to the ground. The courtyard was always the busiest in the morning as many of the student clubs and communities had set up small little shops for the arriving classmates, most serving food of the breakfast variety. In a crowded group such as this, a wise man would get off the skateboard and walk like a normal person. But to Shinsei the rest of the world revolved around him and the rest were just speed bumps for him to bounce off of. While able to dodge most of the students minding their own business, some catching Shinsei by the corner of their eyes and moving out of the way, not all were so lucky. As he got closer and closer to the entrance to the main building Shinsei shoulder tapped a nearby student and shoulder tapped them hard.
The tap was hard enough to where he lost control and swerved. About to fall off his skateboard and hit the ground, Shinsei made the decision to jump off keeping his current momentum but have better control on his own two feet. With each step Shinsei slowly recovered his footing. By the time Shinsei managed to catch himself fully and keep his feet still, his skateboard fully slid away and crashed into one of the stands. With a deep frustrated sight Shinsei started to head over to pick up his skateboard blaming everyone but the person actually responsible; himself.
Whilst Ariane was a dorm girl, she'd usually made it a point to buy herself breakfast at the local coffee shop before getting to class. A regular routine for the girl that she'd found herself enjoying quite a fair amount, something new to life ever since attending Liberta, and one of her little joys in the day to day, a small cinnamon donut, and a long black to put a little pep in her step during the day—or at least, stave off the morning tire—with the small allowance she'd quite typically meticulously save up, this little bit of daily splurge had been quite important to her, given just how careful she usually was with money. Yet, it seemed, life decided to play a trick on her today, or at least, the irresponsibility of another had gotten her wrapped up in misfortune.[break][break]
Given her quiet demeanour, it wasn't unusual for Ariane to be walking back to class on her own, not usually one for small talk to begin with, though to put it more bluntly, she hadn't really had any friends to walk to school with anyway, instead, her only company being the music playing into her ears, a pair of wireless buds. She'd been humming to herself in her head as she'd made her way into the central courtyard. Though fortunately, the commotion was loud enough that the she could overhear the proverbial truck about to hit her. The young brunette had turned around hoping to figure out just what the racket behind her was when--[break][break]
SLAM![break][break]
She'd been knocked down, landing on her tush, most of her belongings safe in her bag, and as far as she could immediately tell, not broken. A slight pain aching from her palms and her rear from the fall, though no scratches, as she'd loosely rubbed her palms to ease the pain away, wincing ever so slightly. However, not everything had quite made it out in one piece. Her morning coffee and donut spilled across the courtyard. Ariane had dusted herself and gotten up by the time she'd noticed that last bit of information. Whilst she'd most certainly be annoyed usually if someone were to bump into her like that on any regular day, her fists had been quite tightly clenched, her nails almost breaking skin as she looked for the perpetrator who'd sullied her morning.[break][break]
She'd made a quick stride, yet rather than directly confronting the boy who'd committed the blunder, she'd stepped past him, stamping a foot down on what it seemed he'd been trying to retrieve—his skateboard—grinding the heel of her shoe into it with a cold, disdainful look on her face as she'd looked down on the boy.[break][break]
"Don't you think you have someone to apologise to, first?" she'd asked abrasively.

Shinsei had his skateboard in sight and reached for it. As he was about to recover his skateboard and continue on his merry way, but his action was interrupted by what seemed to be just some random girl. She was rather tall compared to most girls around the school, despite Shinsei being short for his age. She gave a cold stare at him, filled with disdain for him. Her foot planted heavily on his Skateboard as he reached for it, looking upwards she spoke to him
"Don't you think you have someone to apologise to, first?" Shinsei scoffed at her request as he stood fully up. Even though it was a girl, Shinsei was still shorter than her, which upset him. With a laugh in an attempt to brush the girl off “Why should I?” asked rudely. While Shinsei didn’t see who he bumped into, she could put two and two together and assumed this was the person he bumped into. Despite being fully in the wrong Shinsei refused to acknowledge it and shifted the blame towards her, or at least attempted to “It's’ not my fault you got in my way, next time you should move like everyone else” It was unclear if Shinsei truly this delusional or if he just didn’t care enough to be respectful. With a smirk Shinsei folded his arms in a smug position “Tell you what, I’m a nice guy and will forgive you. Just take your fat foot off my skateboard, what do you say? Girly”
The scene drew some attention from the students, but the moment they noticed who was the cause, they diverted their eyes and attempted to avoid any interaction with the conflict. The school was not about to start anytime soon as many students arrived early to eat, but many of the students rushed away in a hurry as if it was. Despite his size, Shinsei gave a strong aura of intimidation. What he lacks in size he makes up in personality, a terrible one.
"Oh, really?" was all Ariane had to say about the way the rude stranger had acted, sighing as she shook her head, it had almost seemed like she'd relent, as she'd ever so slightly inched forward the boy's prized possession, only to snap it back and take a step back with it. "Oh sorry, I'm just taking your advice, getting out of the way and everything," she'd said with a sour smile, "tell you what, I'll be gracious, maybe you can win this back from me, or at least learn some manners." Ariane had suggested with a saintly smile, though her overall demeanour had proven that despite the smile, she had no intent to be kind in this situation.[break][break]
"Or is the big ol' tough guy too scared to duel? Maybe I'm asking too much of some dumb brute who can't even ride this thing right." She'd said offhandedly, pulling the skateboard back behind her and lining it sideways to prevent it from being pushed away, "Of course, no point in a duel without wagers right? I'll apologise if I lose for 'getting in your way', and you'll apologise if you lose. Sounds fair right?" she'd said, her eyes sharpening as she continued looking down on the boy with quite the apparent holier than thou look on her face.

Shinsei was caught off guard by the girl as she snapped his skateboard away and stepped back from him. Despite her smile, the girl was clearly not in a good mood and the rest of the crowd knew it. But Shinsei did not care and only wanted to take back what was rightfully his. She posed a challenge towards him and to add insult she mocked him. If her aim was to rile up Shinsei she succeeded as Shinsei was still bitter about his confrontation with Allen and to have this girl mock him as well just put him into a worse mood. With his duel disk in his backpack, Shinsei drew it out and throwed his pack to the side. “Fine, if you want me to humiliate you so badly! I’ll give you the beating you deserve!” Duel Disk ready, and the crowd around them slowly dispersing, a good range was placed between Shinsei and the girl.
“I’m going first!” Shinsei knew victory was determined by those who striked first, and he refused to allow this upstart to get the chance. Shinsei started his turn, his hand a solid play which allowed him to establish a strong board that would be a challenge for anyone to break. His first play was activating Reinforcement of the Army to add a Junk Converter to hand
“I activate Reinforcement Of The Army to add Junk Converter, to then immediately use its effect to add a Synchron monster” Shinsei declared. By discarding it and Junk synchron, Shinsei added another Junk Synchron and set up a level two for its revival effect. Shinsei summoned the Junk Synchron “I activate Junk Synchrons effect and target Junk converter” The Junk Synchron started the engine on its back as a portal popped up flinging out a confused Junk Converter. With the revived Junk converter synchro summoning out, Shinsei had a level three tuner and a level two none tuner to conduct a Synchro summon.
“I Synchron summon using my Junk Synchron and Converter into Junk Speeder!” The two monsters jumped into the air forming a synchron tunnel With their powers combined, a flash of light covered the field as a white warrior appeared onto the field. “Now I activate Junk Speeders effect!” Junk Speeder triggered its own effect to bring out Synchron tuners from Shinseis deck with different levels. Three portals opened up onto the field as the field was instantly swarmed with another Junk Synchron, a Satellite Synchron, and a Cyberse Synchron from the deck. “Not finished yet! I Synchro summon using my Cyberse Synchron and Junk speeder!” Cyberse Synchron and Junk Speeder opened another pathway as the two combined made into Stardust Charge Warrior, who gave Shinsei an additional draw. To finish off the current combo Shinsei Synchro's yet again with satellite Synchron and Charge Warrior to make Colossal Fighter, a big level eight warrior. The Synchro towered on the battlefield buffed up by all the warriors currently in Shinsei’s grave.
“That’s only part of my plays! Next I’ll activate Ascator Dawnwalker from my hand!” Ascator Dawnwalker was special summoned to the field by discarding a card. When this card was special summoned Shinsei was allowed to bring out Fire Ant. The two were a level five non tuner, and a level three tuner to make a level eight Synchro and rushed straight into Stardust Dragon. But not over yet Shinsei used Emergency Teleport to bring out Psi-reflector who added Assault beast to hand, which then got discarded to add assault mode. With everything set Psi-Reflector allowed Shinsei to reveal Assault mode to bring out Assault Beast back from the grave, increasing its level to seven and build into Draco Berserker.
Shinsei managed to use every engine aspect of his deck that allowed him to continue Synchro summoning out at low cost. Shinsei was in no mood to even give this girl a fair shot as he did everything in his power to make a tough board. The crowd looked in at shock as Shinsei had what many would consider a near unbreakable board with Colossal fighter unable to be killed by battle, protected by Cybser Synchron, Stardust Dragon protecting his monsters from any sort of destruction effect, and Berserker able to banish a monster that could pose a threat.
Shinsei was unbelievably smug about his situation as victory seemed inevitable for him at this point “Tell me brat, do you regret challenging me?” Shinsei ended his turn with the utmost confidence of his victory
