School came to an end as the bells rang and everyone started to return back towards the dorms and homes. Many students tend to stay after classes for school projects, clubs, and other events. Shinsei was held back from leaving for study sessions after being sent to detention again for causing a scene on the school grounds. Just cause he stole some girls food, had an aggressive duel in the cafeteria, a location they’re not supposed to duel, and caused mass panic for the rest of the students shouldn’t mean he had to waste his free time.
The sun was at a high noon, sitting on the edge of the horizon turning the sky red. Many of the students that left late kept their distance from Shinsei, his reputation already grew from his actions as the residential bully. Shinsei didn’t care however as for him the only thing that mattered was that he proved he was the best duelist of the school. But despite his victories so far Shinsei still hasn’t felt satisfied with his results. Despite the obvious skill difference between him and his previous opponents, they’ve been too close for comfort. In order to show off his skills he must either face a truly skilled duelist or completely destroy his opponent in a single turn.
What set him off even more was his last duel, victory was within his grasp. All he needed to do was activate Shooting Stars effect and get two tuners and attack that loser monster to clear the board and hit for the game. While it was left to random luck if even got enough tuners to make at least two attacks, Shinsei felt the odds were in his favor. His train of thought was broken however from the blowing wind as a piece of paper out of the abyss landed near his feet.
With a quick glance, Shinsei saw a bunch of numbers and equations on the piece of paper. It must be someone's homework, math from the looks of it. Shinsei was not a fan of math, found it too boring and difficult at the same time. He could easily pick it up and see who’s name was on it, to find out who it belonged to. But that was not his problem and not his responsibility to help other people's mistakes. As far as Shinsei was concerned, the loser who had lost their homework deserved to get the F coming their way. So Shinsei proceeded to walk forward stepping onto the math homework leaving his foot print over it.
Allen, at this moment, was lamenting on his decision to lend his homework to Timothy, the guy across the hall from him in Legold. 'That moron, instead of transcribing it to copy my homework, REALLY USED A FRIGGING COPYING MACHINE?! Why?! And to do it in front of the teacher no less!!' Allen complained and moaned in his head, slumped over a table in the courtyard. He was lucky that he didn't get detention for lending out his homework, like what Timothy got. Instead, he was given a new assignment to complete and turn in first thing in the morning. "I swear I'm gonna throttle that idiot...." He continued to complain, this time out loud.
Given that Timothy got detention over it, and ducked out whenever he saw him, Allen decided to wait for him. With that in mind, Allen went and changed clothes then came and sat down at the plaza, both to wait for him to exit the building where detention was located, and to do his new homework assignment. Right now, he was in his usual costume outfits bottom with the shoes and belts, but he was wearing his white T-Shirt and black, short sleeve zip-up hoodie with red trim and a starry pattern look to it. Stretching on the table, Allen grimaced. 'That rat bastard even skipped out on detention, and I wouldn't have even known if not for that idiot who got caught cheating with mirrors ratting him out on having skipped. I swear, I'm gonna get Roger and Blake to help me jump his ass...' He thought while stretching, which, while doing so, he bumped into his pencil bag, and knocked it off the table. "Crap." He said, quickly standing up and crouching down to clean up his pencils and erasers. However, a gust of wind blew through, flinging his jacket's hood halfway up his head.
Looking back at the source of the gust, it turned out to have been from someone nearby getting obliterated in a duel. "Ah.... I think that's that guy who tried to get me to teach him magic so he could hit on girls...." Allen thought out loud about the one who lost as he stood up, before looking at his table. "......." Allen's mouth was agape, looking back towards the duel where someone just lost, before looking back to the table, seeing it's missing contents. "NOOOO!!!!" He couldn't help but cry out, looking and running off in the direction that the wind blew in. He didn't need to run far, as he saw his paper within a few moments. 'Oh good, it's sa-' Allen was thinking, noticing that short kid that was walking near it.... And stomped on it. Seeing that, Allen snapped as he sprinted after the kid, yelling. "HEY YOU, WHAT'S YOUR ISSUE?!" He bellowed, getting to the kid quickly and checking his assignment. "..... Nope. It's all gone. Its not usable anymore..." He signed, standing up and glaring at the kid. "What's wrong with y- Wait, how are you even on this campus? Did they open an elementary school department?" Allen started to attempt to berate the kid, before noticing just how short he was, and assumed the worst about his age.

Shinsei had hoped his return home would be an easy one looking forward to playing some video games, but his plan was put on hold after a voice yelled from behind him. "HEY YOU, WHAT'S YOUR ISSUE?!" Directed towards Shinsei he turned around and stared at the student yelling at him. At first glance the boy was nothing special looking, but his pants seemed very outlandish, almost appearing as clown pants to Shinsei.
Before Shinsei could process what got the boy so upset, something stupid most likely Shinsei thought, he made a comment about his height. A crack about being an elementary student set Shinsei off as he could feel a blood vessel about to burst. He yelled back at the boy “WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSE TO ME YOU CLOWN PANTS WEARING LOSER!” Full of rage Shinsei was bursting to punch this guy out, but after just getting out of detention maybe starting a fight on school grounds again wasn’t the best of ideas. But that reasoning was still not enough to stop him from bursting out at the stranger. “I ought to kick your ass, give me one reason not to knock you down right now!” To many onlookers the sight might seem comical, the short one posturing a threat of violence to someone that could use him as a footstool. But one should not underestimate the Napoleon complex, and the burning rage of a red head; a dangerous combination.
Allen was taken aback by how quickly the shortie got pissed. He was the one who had his homework ruined, and now he was getting berated by someone he could probably pick up and throw like a lawn dart. "Well..... For one, I'm not going to fight someone whom is short enough that I can put my hand on their head and hold them at bay." Allen said, matter of factly. He figured that he probably was wrong on this person's age, but given they just ruined his homework, he really didn't care about being tactful. "I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and assume you're not in Elementary school. Are you visiting schools for when you graduate middle school? Get separated from your group on a fieldtrip? Do you need me to go get the broadcasting club to make a lost child announcement for you?" He asked, before holding up the boot print covered paper. "Still, I know that at your age, math is hard. But just because you need to use both hands and both feet to count to twenty doesn't mean you can just stomp on my math homework just because numbers are scary." He said, sounding concerned for the kids future.
It should go without saying that all of this was Allen bullshitting to vent about his ruined homework. After the shortie yelled, he remembered hearing from Roger, who ate in the cafeteria because the guy sucks at cooking and didn't make his own lunch, that some short, carrot top kid from their grade got into a fight at lunch. The other party being a tall lanky guy with silver hair who spoke like some kind of mysterious shounen protagonist. Allen pieced together that it must've been Arasen, and that he got into a fight with this shortie. Roger said that he missed most of the fight, but said that there were dragons and stars and lots of shiny things. Given his duel with Arasen previously, Allen assumed that Roger was talking about Arasen's deck of Drytrons, which were shiny metal star dragons.
Figuring that he's gotten enough petty revenge via insults to make up for him getting berated, Allen changed to the main point. "Anyway, point being, I'm not going to fist fight some kid that looks like that he could hide behind a bush without crouching and be completely hidden, but given the vein on your head looks about ready to grow its own set of arms to throw down, I'm willing to compromise with you and duel y- Wait, do you know how to duel? I know counting isn't your strong suit, and the game does have some big numbers...." He said, getting in a few more insults out of annoyance about the situation, all while raising his left wrist up for the kid to see, which had his cell-phone type disk strapped to it.

Shinsei had never met someone so insufferable as they just kept throwing insults towards him with short comments one after another. It took everything within the boy to not just punch this guy in his smug face. But after just getting out of detention, it was maybe not the wisest idea to start another fight on school grounds. But no one ever said Shinsei was wise. With his fist clenched, Shinsei was about to raise it upwards and bash it over this guy's skull. But his thought was interrupted as they brought up their duel disk. While not what Shinsei was thinking, a test of skills was still to be put out. This way Shinsei could beat his opponent and humiliate them at the same time by showing the gap between them. But before Shinsei could accept a final comment set him over the edge once again.[]
“ALRIGHT CHUMP! YOU WANT TO BE BEATEN SO BADLY FINE! I’LL DUEL YOU!” Shinsei yelled out in a burst of frustration. Shinsei started to walk away as he pulled out his own duel disk, the devices strapped around his wrist. Mumbling various insults and curses towards his opponent Shinsei was at the very least trying to find the silver lining in all this. After this duel he could rub it in his opponents face and beat him so bad he’d never forget it.
Shinsei reached a good enough distance as he turned around to face his opponent. Not willing to allow his opponent even have the choice he yelled out “I’m going first you got that?!” Shinsei drew his five cards and started the duel
Shinsei knew exactly what his game plan for this turn was, a plan to counter whatever his opponent would throw at him. “I activate Synchro Overtake!” This card allowed Shinsei to reveal a Synchro monster and add a monster on the card's materials. He revealed Junk Warrior who had Junk synchron required as a tuner. But the card locked him into Synchros for the turn.
With Junk Synchron in hand Shinsei continued his play “I normal summon Synchron carrier who allows me to normal summon another Synchron monster!” Shinsei summoned out the Junk Synchron just added to make a tuner and non-tuner on the field. The play was obvious as now Shinsei had the ability to Synchro summon. The two monsters jumped into the air and formed a synchro portal forming together becoming Junk Speeder.
Junk Speeders effect triggered forming three portals behind the monster as three different Synchron tuners appeared; Cyberse Synchron, Satellite Synchron, and Junk Synchron. “I activate Monster reborn!” Shinsei revived the Synchron Carrier onto the field to continue the Synchro summons. Carrier and Junk Synchron together made into T.G Librarian, a powerful Synchro monster who allowed the player to draw every Synchro summon. Cyberse Synchron and Junk Speeder lead into Stardust Charge who gave an additional draw, and then with Satellite Synchron with charge made into Draco Berserker of the Tenyi. But where one would think the turn was over, Shinsei activated one for one, discarding Assault Beast in his hand to summon Psi-Reflector. Psi-Reflectors effect triggered to add Assault Mode towards his hand which allowed the other effect to activate. By revealing his Assault mode, Shinsei could revive Assault Beast and increase its level up by four. But Shinsei only increases its level by two for another Synchro summon, into Shooting Riser Dragon. Upon the monsters summon Shinsei sent from his deck an Ascator Dawnwalker to reduce the monster's level by two.
With all the Synchros summoned T.G Librarian pulled off many draws giving Shinsei an advantageous position. With a five card hand and Berserker to banish whatever monster effect the clown would attempt to activate, and Shooting to pull out a little surprise for them. There was nothing that they could do to counter this board, or so he thought.
“Try and beat this you weak punk!” Shinsei yelled out as he ended his turn. Shinsei’s aggravated attitude and posturing started to gain the attraction of many of the students around, many just leaving clubs or on their way home. Not all who passed by stayed to watch the duel continue but some did, some recognizing Shinsei from his conflict at the cafeteria.
The commotion between the two...very, very shouty students piqued Jack's attention. He had just been sitting out on the grass in the courtyard, working on some character designs in his sketchbook when the fighting started. At first, he tried to put on his headphones to drown out the shouting, but that didn't even help.
"Well, might as well see what's going on..." he muttered. Jack closed his sketchbook and put it along with his pencils away in his messenger back before standing up to join the gathering crowd. He got up on the tips of his toes to see that things had escalated into a Duel. Retrieving his drawing supplies, Jack immediately got started drawing Shinsei's lineup of Synchro monsters.
Watching his opponents turn, Allen couldn't help but let out a sigh. "Man, I thought your people were supposed to be jolly and cheery. Did Snow White lie to me?" Allen asked as his opponent angerly played his cards, giving.... no theatrics what-so-ever. Looking at the monsters, he was at least impressed by them. "Are you normally this.... unshowy while playing, or is it because you're pissed off enough to actually explode?" He asked, honestly curious about that matter. His opponent seemed very... by the books of the tournament league, where they played more for the sake of the game, rather than the entertainment value it presents, like the pro league.
Putting it aside for his turn, however, Allen slid his fingers across the top of his holographic duel disk, drawing the card as he looked at what he could do. 'Hmm.... two rods, a dark magician, a Magician's Souls, secrets of dark magic, and spellbook of knowledge....' He thought, before grabbing one of the rods and tossing it up into the air. In the air, the card dissolved into a ball of light, that floated up to its peak, before crashing down, enlonging and growing thinner as it fell. Catching it out of the air, Allen spun it, shaking away the lights from it, revealing it to be Dark Magician's Staff. "I summon Magician's rod. Thanks to its effect, I add to my hand a spell or trap listing 'Dark Magician' in its text from my deck. I choose 'Dark Magical Circle'." He said, eyeing Dracoberserker, as a light radiated from the staff. Stamping the bottom of the staff onto the ground, the staff stuck into the ground as the light split off from the staff, hovering over it, before floating into his left hand, turning into another card. 'Well, he didn't banish Rod... I need to be wary of it.' He thought, keeping an eye on dracoberserker.
With a flourish, Allen grabbed another card from his hand and snapped it, which turned into a book that landed in his right hand. As if possessed, the book opened and the pages rapidly flapped through. "I activate spellbook of knowledge. By sending my staff to the grave, I can draw two cards." He said, as the staff next to him, along with the book, dissolved into light, turning into two balls of light that Allen grabbed. Looking at them, Allen was fairly impressed with what he had at his disposal now. 'Dark Magician Girl usually isn't helpful, but with that card I just added in last night....' He thought, looking at the card he just drew with a smile on his face.
Grabbing a monster from his hand, he held the card out and snapped his fingers, dissolving the card into light. "Next, I activate Magician's souls, sending Dark magician to the grave from my deck as cost, to se-" Allen started to say, but was interrupted by his opponent. "Screw off clown, I activate Dracoberserkers effect to banish your monster! Now you don't get the effect!" To which, Dracoberserker let out a battle cry, before holding his left hand up towards Allen with his right hand pulled back and opened. Quickly forming in its palm was a black hole. Thrusting the right palm forward, the black hole absorbed the ghostly images of Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl, whom were starting to appear from Magician's Soul's effect. Tsking his tongue, as Allen was hoping the effect would still go off, he continued his plays.
"That's fine, Souls did it's job perfectly well." He said, sidestepping over to the right, holding up a card from his hand that immediately turned into a blue, multi circle glyph. An identical copy of that glyph appeared on the ground a few zones over from him. "I activate Secrets of Dark Magic, fusing from my hand, my Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl!" Allen explained, tossing the two cards out of his hand through the spell circle. At the other side, Dark Magician and Dark Magician girl rose up out of it together in tandem with Allen's summoning chant. "Grand magicians of old, appear and fight together! I fusion summon, The Dark Magicians!" He exclaimed, which at the end of the chant, the magicians together pointed their staves at Shinsei. Allen could visibly see Shinsei grimace at his chant, but not bothering to care, Allen pressed off the ground, crossing two spell zones over to the left as he pressed his hand forward, making a green spell circle appear. "I activate Dark Magical Circle. On activation I c-" Allen started to explain as his opponent once more butted in.
"I activate Shooting Riser Dragon's effect to synchro summon on your turn, Clown!" His opponent yelled out, as his dracoberserker and Shooting Riser dragon formed into a pillar of light. As the light died down, a colossal robot stood in it's place. Decked out in pieces and part of a satellite, Allen's first thought was that his opponent summoned a satellite transformer. Allen would be lying if he wasn't a bit intimidated by it. 'Still, it can't activate in this chain...' He thought as solace, before finishing his explanation of his own card. "... Anyway, on activation, I can look at the top 3 cards of my deck and add one 'Dark Magician' or one Spell or trap that lists Dark magician by name. Sadly, there are none, so I don't add anything. But, I do get to decide the order in which they go back onto the top of my deck." Allen finished explaining, having been looking at the cards that appeared in the circle for him to see. However, he smiled at what he saw. 'Woohoo, monster reborn! Putting that on top!' He thought, deciding the order for the cards, which ended that chain.
Immediately, Hyper Librarian holds up his book, indicating that Shinsei gets to draw one card as chainlink 1, while the Dark Magician's raised their staves, indicating Allen gets to draw one as chainlink 2. Finally, his opponent yelled out with sadistic glee, "Hope you enjoyed this duel! Cause now you're gonna lose here!" With that, his effect was declared, intending to destroy both Dark Magical Circle and The Dark Magician's. Powering up his cannons, the giant robot aimed them straight up, shooting them off into the sky, before they fell out of it, intending to blast the magicians and spell circle to nothingness. With a bright, wide smile, Allen grabbed the spell card he had drawn off spellbook of secrets, held it up towards the sky, and called out. "Neither hell nor heaven can stop Magic's advancements, let alone your robot! I activate the quickplay spell 'Dark Magic Expanded'!!" Allen called out, as the card dissolved into light, turning into a spell circle above his hand. It flew up out of his palm and expanded, turning into giant magical shield that easily warded off the destruction that Satellite warrior went to inflict, before floating it down and etching itself into Allens side of the field.
"When I activate Dark Magic Expanded, I get effects until the end of my turn based on the number of 'Dark Magician' and 'Dark Magician Girl' monsters in my grave and on my field. I have 3, so I gain all 3 effects. First, the Dark Magician's gains a thousand attack. Second, you cannot destroy my spells and traps, nor can you activate cards in response to them. Third, my spellcasters are unaffected by your card effects." Allen explained, drawing his card as the chain finished with his explanation. His opponent seemed to be taking a moment to process it, before they shouted, "You suck prick!" at him. Smiling at that, Allen held up the card he just drew and activated it without even looking at the card. "I activate Monster Reborn. I'm going to revive your 'Dracoberserker of the Tenyi' to my side of the field!" He said, as the spell circle appeared in front of his palm, opening up a black portal on the ground, from which the demonic dragon man climbed out of, letting out a battle ready roar. "Fine I'll kill that traitor along with you!" His opponent cried out at that move. Allen couldn't help but wince at how his opponent was treating his own cards with that.
'Hmm.... His satellite warrior would revive Stardust charge warrior on death... Lets kill it first with dracoberserker, then kill the revived charge warrior.' Allen thought, reading over the effects of Satellite warrior and Dracoberserker. "Battle!" Allen called out, declaring the end of the main phase 1. "I attack Satellite Warrior with Dracoberserker!" He commanded, to which the dragon man let out a roar, going and performing a roundhouse kick at the robots head. While the kick inflicted some damage, a small, little shield looking drone appeared in front of Dracoberserkers foot, blocking the attack from killing Satellite Warrior. 'Tch, I forgot about Cyberse Synchron being in the grave.' He thought as Dracoberserker landed back on his side of the field, looking completely disgruntled about being denied its victory. Ignoring the antimation the dragon man was doing, Allen raised his left hand towards the Dark Magicians. "You're up next. The dark magicians attacks Hyper Librarian!" He called out, to which they clinked their stave tops together, shooting out a magical beam that blasted a hole through Hyper librarian, shattering him into light fragments. The combined damage from these two attacks dropped Shinsei down to 6100. "And with that, I end my turn, and the effects of Dark Magic Expanded disappear." He said, as the attack boost disappeared.

Shinsei’s blood boiled more and more, his opponent continued to make a mockery of him. First the insults, then with stopping his Satellite Synchrons effect, and now stealing his own monster against him. Shinsei didn’t just want to win this duel, he wanted to crush his opponents' will to ever duel again as he clenched his fist. “You think you’re so clever, ha?” With a devilish grin and eyes twisted by malice Shinsei grabbed his next card on the top of his deck, the start of his destructive move “Then let me show you your grave mistake crossing me!” Shinsei drew his next card, and everything was set for his soon to be victory.
First Shinsei activates Reinforcement of the Army, allowing him to add Junk Converter to his hand. This however did not come without an issue as it allowed his opponent to get a free draw off it because of his monster's effect.
“I activate Junk Converter’s effect in my hand!” By discarding the monster and a tuner he can search from his deck any Synchron monster. With the search triggered Shinsei drew out from his deck Junk Synchron. With Berserker on the field, Shinsei had to be careful about his plays, but his opponent should not be expecting the next move. “I normal summon Synchron Carrier, who allows me to normal summon an additional Synchron!” The little mechanical creature popped onto the field, the crane on its back launched towards Shinseis hand as it grabbed hold of one of his cards pulling it towards the field. Off from the card pulled came out Junk Synchron who activated his own effect on summon.
Junk Synchron grabbed hold of the starter on its back revving up the engines. With the steam and smoke puffing out a portal opened up throwing out a broken up Junk converter as sparks flew from the creature. But the play was to not go uncontested as Berserker’s effect activated. The beast roared towards Junk Synchron, the echo of its voice could deafen any poor soul within range as the sheer power of it toured up the tuner banishing the monster from the field. But was not enough to stop Shinsei as his out was still within sight. “I activate Synchron Overtake, by revealing a Synchro monster I can special summon a tuner from my deck or grave who’s listed as a material!” Shinsei revealed Junk Warrior who’s material happened to be Junk Synchron.
With another Junk Synchron on the field, the total of levels of monsters on the field Shinsei needed was seven, and everything was set to show this clown who the top duelist was. “I Synchro summon using my Junk Synchron, Junk Converter, and Synchron Carrier!” The three bolted into the sky, their powers combined shined forming into a silhouette of a fearsome dragon. As the light faded a dragon with scales of Roses rested on the field, a moment of calmness settled onto the battlefield before erupted with a massive screeching roar. The Black Rose Dragon exploded into a flurry of petals as it scattered across the field destroying all monsters on the field, including his own Satellite Synchron.
“You’re nuking your own monsters?!” the clown exclaimed, as the Dark Magicians in front of him tensed up from the series of roses. The field was hardly visible, Shinsei laughed at the clown as he yelled out “SCARED?!” His opponent retorted “Not at all” While still frustrated with his opponent he could at least be happy that he wasn’t beating down someone entirely worthless “Good! I don’t like beating down cowards!” Shinsei’s excitement got the better of him as he almost forgot the chain order of how to continue his plays.
With the petals gone the field was cleared and showed what was left standing, on Shinsei’s field remained a Stardust Charge warrior and Satellite Synchron. From the explosion, Satellite Warrior can revive any Stardust monster in the grave if destroyed, and Junk Converter can revive a tuner monster when used for a synchro summon. Thanks to the chain order and timing, Charge and Satellite Synchron came out after the explosion. But it seemed his opponent just as much survived the blast. Both his Dark Magician Girl and Dark Magician huddled together as a sphere surrounded them of their combined magic allowed the monsters to survive. The two parted away and appeared onto two separate monster zones. Dark Magician's effect allowed his opponent to special summon Dark Magician and Dark Magician girl when destroyed.
“I’m not done yet! I’ll Synchro summon Charge and Satellite!” The two formed together to bring out one of Shinsei's main monsters, Stardust Dragon. But Stardust Dragon was to not remain as Shinsei had other plans.
“Next I’ll activate Jar of Avarice!” by returning 5 cards from his graveyard Shinsei could draw two cards. The drawing was a plus, but the real goal was to send Satellite Warrior back into the extra deck. With Satellite Warrior and various other monsters sent back to the deck, Shinsei could bring it back this turn with what he had planned.
After drawing his next two cards Shinsei activated his final card for the play “I activate Fleuret De Fleur!” This card allows me to revive level two or lower monsters from the grave! And I think you have an idea of what I’m gonna pick!” Shinsei brought back Satellite Synchron again. With a level two tuner and a level eight Synchro on the field, the plan became more and more obvious what Shinsei was gonna do.
“I Synchro summon using Stardust Dragon and Satellite Synchron!” As the plays continued and the duel started to reach its peak more and more people stopped doing what they were doing as they gazed at the duel. “I Synchro Summon Satellite Warrior!” A beam of light smashed the ground behind Shinsei as it engulfed everything in sight leaving no shadows. “Round two!” Shinsei announced as Satellite Synchrons effect activated. With full power two beams of lights ejected from the creature slicing down towards the two remaining monsters on the field. Sliced through the beams caused massive explosions consuming the two creatures in a blaze of fire.
Satellite Warrior stood tall above the glow of the fire, the metallic warrior reflective of the light as its attack points increased up to five-thousand-two-hundred. The audience gasped at such a high attack point as shinsei just grinned with his evil smirk “Did I forget to mention? When Satellite Synchron destroys cards, he gains a thousand attack for each one destroyed, and Fleur can equip itself two a Synchro monsters after being destroyed giving an extra seven hundred attack”
The moment seemed almost perfect, his opponent had only two cards in hand and Shinsei had one of his most powerful monsters out. Even if Satellite Warrior would be destroyed he could just revive Stardust Dragon and Charge on its destruction. There was no way for this clown to win the duel, and Shinsei couldn’t help but be smug after all the insults he threw at him
“How dumb you must feel, trying to pick a fight with me” Shinsei said in a taunting voice. But his mocking and joyful tone quickly turned away as he said his next line with more venom “Now die!” Shinsei declared his attack directly hitting for more than half of his opponent's life points dropping them to 2800, a dangerous location for how much damage Shinsei has shown to put out in a single strike.
“I end my turn, now hurry up and draw your last pathetic card. I want to get home”
Post by Allen Akiyama on Apr 29, 2022 11:11:52 GMT
'Crap crap crap!' Allen thought as his field was decimated. Bracing for impact with his arms crossed and covering his face, he skidded back a few inches as Satellite warrior's attack landed, dropping his lifepoints dramatically. Looking at his opponent as he rattled off a cliché villain line, Allen let out a frustrated sigh. "You know, you're really grating to play against. You don't respect your opponent, you don't respect your cards, and you spout the most cliché villain lines possible." Allen said, venting. "Do you even like dueling? From where I'm standing, you don't respect anything about it. You just want to use it as a tool to assert dominance." He continued, letting his grievances about the current duel out. "But, I can tell you this. This game? Definitely not going to go in any way you can predict." Allen said, raising his right hand up in front of his face, pointing one finger up to make the shushing gesture, with one eye closed as he looked directly at Shinsei. "The reason? Because as a great duelist once said; 'There's not a pathetic card in my deck!' So get ready, because it's time for the climax of this show!!" Allen claimed, putting his hand to his duel disk.
"Final turn! I draw!" Allen called out, dramatically swiping his hand from his disk to draw his card. He had no field, and with the card he just drew, he only had three cards in hand to attempt to deal with Shinsei's board and win this turn. 'Alright, what do I have to work with...' He thought, looking down at the cards he had in hand. He knew he had Magician's Rod and Spellbook of Secrets in hand, but after his deck was shuffled by The Dark Magician's effect, he wasn't sure what he'd draw in place of Mana Dragon Zirnitron. 'Eye of Timaeus?' He thought, internally grimacing at this draw. 'I was seriously hoping for Magicalized Fusion.' He thought, before instead grabbing a card from his hand and throwing it straight up into the air. reaching the apex of its air time, it turned into a ball of light, turning into a staff that Allen once more caught and stamped the bottom of into the ground. "First, I summon Magician's rod, and I use its effect to add to my hand Soul Servant." Allen said, grabbing the ball of light hovering above the staff with his left hand.
Next, Allen held out his right hand. Appearing in it, once more was a familiar spellbook. The spellbook of secrets. "I activate spellbook of secrets to add to my hand Spellbook of knowledge, And then I'll activate it." Allen said, as the book shimmered with light, morphing into the spellbook of knowledge without Allen even motioning for it. However, Allen snapped his fingers on his left hand, making the pages freeze in the wind. Using his left hand, he turned the pages to a specific spot in the book as he spoke. "However, as chain link 2, I activate Soul Servant, letting me place one card that specifically lists 'Dark Magician' or 'Dark Magician Girl' in its text on the top of my deck. I choose Magicians' souls." He said, as the book's time returned, dissolving into two balls of light. Grabbing them, Allen checked the other card he drew. 'Eternal Soul? You don't help me.' He groaned internally. Normally Eternal Soul was a fantastic draw, but in this situation it did nothing, as with his declaration, he knew that if he didn't pull off a win this turn, that next turn Shinsei would demolish him.
Grabbing Magicians' Souls, Allen threw it straight up causing a black portal to emerge. "Just like last turn, I'm activating Magicians' souls. This time, it's sending palladium Oracle Mana to the grave as cost, as well as sending Souls itself to the grave as part of the effect, to special summon Dark Magician!" Allen said, as the magician, cloaked in black robes, emerged from the portal. Dark Magician put its left hand to its chest, which created a shining light in said hand, before throwing it to Allen. "I activate Soul Servant's Grave effect. By banishing it, I draw 1 card per name in the grave of specific monsters. Because I have Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, and Palladium Oracle Mana in my grave, I draw 3 cards!" He called out, checking his now 5 card hand.
'Another souls, dark magic attack... Oh, Bond!' Allen thought, mentally cheering in his head. With that card, he realized his path to victory. Confidently, Allen held up the spell and snapped his fingers. A black portal emerged next to Dark Magician, with the all too familiar apprentice to him jumping out of it. "I activate Bonds between Teacher and Student. If I control Dark Magician, I can summon Dark Magician Girl from either my Hand, Deck, or Grave, then I can set one of four cards to my field from my deck. I choose to set Dark Burning Magic." Allen said, as a facedown card appeared on his field briefly before disappearing, like most other set cards. Allen could see Shinsei read the card as it popped up for him. However, this was all misdirection on Allen's part.
"Now, I activate The Eye of Timaeus!" Allen said, holding up the card and snapping it between his fingers. "I target Dark Magician with it, allowing me to fusion summon a monster using only Dark Magician as the material!" He explained as a phantasmal dragon descended from the skies, wrapping itself around Dark Magician. The two disappeared into a large ball of light shaped like an egg. "Control light and darkness, and bring order to the chaotic flow! I fusion summon, Master of Chaos!" Allen called out his summoning chant as a sword pierced through the top of the egg, before swiftly slicing through most of the egg. Then, with a loud sound of glass breaking, that sword cut out once more, breaking the egg. Standing where the egg was, was a handsome blonde haired man in blue and black cloth that had fur trim in various places, along with armor on his hips, legs, chest, and left arm. With a sweep of his blue and gold sword, he sent out a slash of dark light into the air, cutting open another portal.
"When Master of Chaos is successfully fusion summoned, I can special summon one Light monster or one Dark Monster from my grave." Allen explained. He was sure that Shinsei, and most of the people watching, were expecting Dark Magician after Allen set Dark Burning Magic. However, reality didn't happen that way. With a smile, Allen finished explaining his play. "I summon.... Dark Magician Girl!" He said as another dark magician girl descended from the portal that Master of Chaos had summoned. This one was slightly different from the other Dark Magician girl on the field. Her skin was slightly more tan, and her outfit was red in contrast to the others blue. "As I said, this duel isn't going to go in any way you can predict." Allen said, before holding his hand up, indicating to the two girls what he was going to do. With a nod from the red magician girl, she put her back to the other Dark Magician Girls, and held her hands. Closing their eyes, they both hovered in the air, before floating up into a starry looking portal above them. "Apprentice of the grand magician! Appear and grant my request! Lend me your power to free the abused warrior!" Allen chanted a unique, situational chant as the monster descended from the starry portal. She looked just like Dark Magician Girl, with some slight changes. Her hair was slightly longer, and a bit more well kept. Her outfit was a jet black with silver accents and a purple cloak. On her chest was a tattoo of an Ankh, and she generally had a more dignified air to her. "I Xyz Summon! Magi Magi ☆ Magician Gal!!" Allen finished as she landed, striking a pose and flashing a peace sign with her left hand, as her right hand was holding her staff.
Allen could tell Shinsei was confused by this play. It was a... fairly common thing in the school, that most people strictly played monsters belonging to their dorms mechanic. If they played monsters not of that mechanic, they tended to be weak, utility monsters, like Dragunity Knight - Romulus. However, Allen was different. in all rights, all of his extra deck monsters served a purpose past just being a utility. Pointing towards Satellite Warrior, Allen smiled as he called out his play. "I activate Magi's effect. I detach one material from her, and banish one card from my hand...." He started to explain, as Dark Magic Attack burned out in a teal-ish green flame, alongside one of Magi's overlay units that flew into her staff. Appearing around Satellite warrior, was hundreds of Runic characters, that latched and clung onto him. The light from his eyes, which was originally white, turned the same magical green color as the runes. Walking across the field, Satellite Warrior stopped next to Magi. "I get to take control of one of your monsters on the field until the end of the turn." He finished his explanation.
He could tell that Shinsei was absolutely stunned at this point, and Allen knew why. No one would expect their monster to just be taken like that as a way to clear the board. Jumping up, Magi stepped on the glowing green runes that appeared under her feet, before landing on Satellite Warriors Shoulder, sitting down on it as she raised her staff up into the air. "As I said, you don't respect your cards, your opponent, or even the game. You can only blame your monster revolting against you on yourself." Allen said, raising his hand into the air. As he did, Magi's staff glowed and a vortex opened behind Satellite Warrior, revealing countless stars and the moon. The moon and stars shimmered as the light they radiated was collected by Satellite Warriors solar panels, which started to glow with a soothing emerald green light. Charing his cannons, the tips of the cannons glowed that same emerald green as Magi waved her staff once more, erecting several magic circles in front of each cannon, all of them pointed towards Shinsei. Swinging his hand down, Allen called out. "So I hope you enjoy the might of your own monster crashing down on you! Celestial Cataclysm!!" He yelled out, declaring his attack as Magi and Satellite Warrior's combined attack blasted Shinsei, wiping out his lifepoints with 7600 points of damage to Shinsei's 6100 remaining lifepoints.
Putting his left foot behind him, Allen raised his right arm to his chest and held his left arm off to the side as he gave a bow towards Shinsei. "And with that, the show is over!" He said, claiming his victory.
Goodness, there were just...so many monsters being thrown around, Special Summoned, used as material for further monsters- as soon as Jack had the basic outline of one monster, it seemed like three more had taken its place. Jack grumbled in frustration as his sketchbook pages meant to be an illustration of the duel resembled more of a chaotic jumble of incomplete sketches. Eventually all he could finish was the final strike- Allen commanding Magi Magi ☆ Magician Gal and Satellite Warrior to call down the power of the universe itself, destroying the Warrior's own owner in a crackling cosmic cataclysm.
"Man, color me impressed." Jack said, tucking his pencil away and walking towards Allen. The artist aspirant held out the sketchbook for the victorious duelist to judge. "I hope I managed to capture your likeness well enough?"
