Ryotaro is an average man in terms of appearance. He dresses for his job, which is very serious and requires dedication, and it shows in his suits and their condition. His clothes are ironed, lint-free and adjusted to fit his body, in order to give off a sharp and serious vibe.

Ryotaro grew up in a dog-eat-dog world. He was expected to fight for what he wanted and fight even harder to protect it. This managed to shape him to be a perfect businessman, one who knows how to negotiate and convince effectively. 

Outside of Business, Ryotaro is a decisive man. Nobody who works with him can get an accurate read on his feelings or thoughts, and his actions range from being kindhearted to downright manipulative. Truth is, Ryotaro is a man who strives to fufill himself and his goals, no matter how he does it and no matter who he needs to get through in order to do it.

Ryotaro began his life as a young warrior, with nobody to truly guide him or give him purpose. From the very beginning he needed to stick up for himself and become self-sufficient. His parent's gave him the basic necessities, like food, clothes and a roof over their heads, but anything else was left to Ryotaro to figure out 

This cruel way of growing up was caused by Ryotaro's father, Shuuya Nikishima, and his desire for a worthy successor to his Science/Technology Development Company, "NKS". By having many children and raising them to be self-sufficient, not only could he dedicate his time solely to NKS, but he also could potentially raise wildly capable children who had the skills to run the entire world if they wished to.

Ryotaro, despite being the youngest among his siblings, was also the smartest and most cunning. He lied and deceived his family, outsmarting them and getting them to do his bidding. He did this by observing his family and collecting data on them, his personal specialty. By doing this, he managed to specifically pinpoint any type of leverage he may have over his family, and use it against them. This ended up being his road to success, as Shuuya noticed Ryotaro's dedication to finding a way to be the best in the family, and made him next in line for the company.

Once Ryotaro became the president of NKS, he made "questionable" decisions. One of the first things he did was re-direct focus on AR and Holographic Technology for a popular card game known as "Duel Monsters". The technology wildly enhanced the atmosphere and intensity of duels, but it was a rather weird market to be investing in. Nonetheless, NKS (Which was also given the name Nikishima Corporations), became a highly profitable company, and Ryotaro became wildly successful, and began to operate within Kurenai, funding the city and the local schools, including Kinmannen.
